Lecture One

Today was my first lecture for course JOUR1111 – Intro into Journalism and Communication. When walking through the lecture doors, I breathed a sigh of relief when I noticed a couple of friendly faces from College that I didn’t know did the course. I did take note of the warm and welcoming atmosphere, which was far from different to my previous lecture. After going through the course outline and assessments ahead, my first thoughts were that it was definitely going to be a fun and interesting subject, as well as relatively easy going. Bruce’s experience in the industry gives me comfort in the fact that this is my first semester of University! I definitely knew that I was going to be in good hands! I was also glad to hear that tutorials were going to be every fortnight, but then again concerned at the same time. I wondered whether I would have enough opportunity to ask questions in the tutes, but if not Bruce did seem like the kind of person I could email if in doubt! I’m excited about the course and what’s to come!
